Limited to 50 units. Rivalling its Mustang GT-based Super Snake in terms of output, Shelby American has just unveiled its latest performance pony in the shape of the Terlingua Racing Team Mustang. Paying homage to the Terlingua Racing Team created and headed by Carroll Shelby and Bill Neale in the 1960s, the special edition Stang comes packing 750 horsepower, race car like handling and performance, and the iconic jackrabbit logo from the Terlingua Ranch in Texas.

Mustang enthusiasts will recall a limited-run V6 Terlingua Mustang from 2007, designed to replicate the racing team’s Mustangs in the 1960s. Similarly, the latest special edition has been "built as a tribute to the Terlingua Racing Team and their 1967 Trans Am Championship," according to Gary Schechner, VP of Marketing and Sales at Shelby American. Using the S550 chassis, just 50 units of the Terlingua Racing Team Mustang will be made sporting a Whipple supercharger, Shelby-by-Eibach sway bar and adjustable coilovers. Ford Performance upgrades include half-shafts, a short-throw shifter, and Borla exhaust with black tips.
