Nissan has introduced the 2017 GT-R at the New York International Auto Show as the most significant change to the R35 since it was introduced in 2007.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R has a new front fascia with a larger version of Nissan’s V-Motion grille improving cooling capacity. The revised front lip helps generate more downforce.

New side sills are pushed outward to improve airflow while the car sits on a new 20-inch 15-spoke set of wheels. The rear end has gained some new features as the vents next to the exhaust tips and a higher beltline designed what makes the car look wider.

Nissan made the car more stable at high speeds, but also much more functional for day-to-day. The interior coated in Nappa leather has a new dashboard, a Display Command controller in the center console, and the car gets the Nissan Connect system with navigation and access to mobile apps.

The new seats are lighter thanks to a new construction technique and, yet, they provide greater comfort and support according to Nissan. In addition, the interior features Active Noise Cancellation and an acoustic windshield.

Under the hood, an improved 3.8L twin-turbo V6 delivers extra 20 horsepower for a total of 565-hp and the torque figures at 467 foot-pounds thanks to a revised ignition timing control and additional turbo boost. Additionally, the 2017 Nissan GT-R also gets a new lightweight titanium exhaust.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R will hit the market on this summer. The price hasn’t announced yet.
