The new Alfa Romeo Giulia was finally revealed in Geneva, with the company releasing details about the range and most importantly, a date for the market launch.

Prospective buyers in Europe, Middle East and Africa regions will be able to put down a deposit from April 15th, having to choose from one petrol and two diesel options available at launch.

Petrol models will use the company’s new turbocharged 200hp 2.0-litre engine and will be offered exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you want a manual Giulia and don't have the ability to get the 503hp Quadrifoglio version, you have to choose between the 150hp and 180hp 2.2-litre diesel models.

What Alfa Romeo failed to mention in their original press release was that by the end of the year, they will add a 280hp version of the 2.0-litre petrol model and a 210hp version of the 2.2-litre diesel one. This way the gap between the mainstream Giulia models and the guns-blazing Quadrifoglio will become slightly smaller as well as offering a wider range of options to the buyers.
