Coming after an online unveil made a few hours ago, the newest addition to the C-Class range, the AMG C 43 4Matic is one of Merc's most interesting displays at the show.

Dressed in red and sitting alongside the regular drop-top, the performance model carries a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, rated at 367 PS (362 HP) and 520 Nm (384lb-ft) of torque.

From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model needs just 4.8 seconds, 0.2 less than the BMW 440i, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The current range-topper burns an average of 8.3 liters of fuel every 100 km (28.34 mpg US) and emits 190 g/km of CO2.

Outside, it has a few aerodynamic tweaks to set it apart from the regular C-Class Cabrio and it comes with the same soft top, available in dark red, dark blue, dark brown or black. This is based on the one used on the S-Class Cabriolet and it can be opened and closed in less than 20 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph).

European customers will get to choose between six petrol and two diesel engines, which can all be specified with the new 9G nine-speed automatic transmission, while in North America, the C-Class Cabriolet will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-pot, with 241hp, from summer, joined by the C 43 AMG in fall.
