Liechtenstein-based company nanoFlowcell is still trying to revolutionize the world of electric cars with their outlandish ideas. So following the e-Sportlimousine revealed at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, this year they bringing a new electric super saloon to the show called the Quant F.

Just like the last concept, the Quant F is a brilliant idea. Trouble is, they don’t seem to be capable of turning any of these ideas into something with production value. So yes, the new model looks awesome and it has a 800 km (500 mile) all-electric range. But unless they can actually put it in production and sell it to the public, we don’t care how great their projected numbers are.

Mind you, Quant F does indeed posses some pretty big numbers. The limousine is powered by four electric motors, producing a combined output of 1,075 horsepower which is about 150 more than the previous concept. Delivered to all four wheels via a two-speed transmission, that power give the Quant F a top speed of 186 mph or 300 km/h.

The new concept might well be another flight of fancy with no real world worth, but it is at least a good testbed for technologies that may someday be used in production cars. One of those is the new fuel cell nanoFlowcell has developed which instead of hydrogen and oxygen uses two ionic fluids – one with a positive charge and one with a negative charge. They don’t say what these liquids are.
