Those of you unfamiliar with an Autobot named 'Drift' only need to look back at the last Transformers movie and try to picture a black and blue Bugatti Veyron. Drift also has a somewhat Samurai-ish appearance to him, but the latest news regarding Michael Bay's next Transformers movie is that the character will be turning into the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT R.

In 'Age of Extinction', Drift was voiced by Ken Watanabe (Inception, Batman Begins), and even watched over the Yeager family, who will supposedly be back as well since Mark Wahlberg is starring as Cade Yeager again.

Hopefully Mr. Bay plans on giving us a big earful of the GT R's magnificent exhaust system, but if not, we'll settle for any of his spectacular, CGI-heavy chase sequences.
